Pedalpoint is an online bike shop web application that I developed for capstone project. The application allows users to browse and purchase bikes and accessories. The admin panel enables management of products, orders, and user accounts. The frontend is built with React, while the backend uses Django and PostgreSQL for data storage.
Intrusight is an app I did for commission for a client. It is an app that receives alerts from security cameras and notifies the user when motion is detected. The app also allows the user to view the live feed from the cameras and review recorded footage. The app is built on Android Studio using Java and Firebase for the backend.
Tagisan ng Talino: Codefest is a mobile app hackathon where teams are given limited time to create an app that addresses a presented problem. The Local and Cluster levels are each held for 6 hours, while the National level lasts for 36 hours. Our team, Blue Flag, from STI College Sta. Maria, came out on top at the Cluster level, which included STI Malolos, STI Baliuag, STI Meycauayan, STI Angeles, and STI Laoag. This victory led us to represent Cluster 6 in the National level, held at STI College Ortigas-Cainta.
I'm Ralph Zhyros Serrano Ompoc, a fourth-year Information Technology student at STI College Sta Maria with a cumulative GWA of 1.48. I'm proficient in Java and Python, and knowledgeable in JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, and C#. I'm knowledgeable in Web Development, currently working with React for frontend and Django for backend. I also have experience in Android App Development, and I've worked with databases including PostgreSQL and Firebase.
In addition to my technical skills, I'm a strong problem-solver and quick learner who's always open to learning new technologies and approaches. I'm resilient when facing challenges and consistently work to find effective solutions. I thrive both in collaborative team environments and when working independently. I have strong attention to detail and often hyperfocus on problems until I get things exactly right, which drives me to build better solutions. I also enjoy helping others learn and am always happy to share my knowledge when someone needs help understanding a concept.
What excites me most about development is the process of building things. Outside of coding, I enjoy building and fixing PCs, which complements my technical mindset. My goal is to pursue a career as a full-stack or backend developer, continuing to learn and apply my skills to create meaningful, real-world solutions.
